Artist's Description

Portrait of my husband, Jason Wilson. At the base is Mt Rubidoux, a gorgeous place in the center of the city. The architecture is the rotunda at the Mission Inn, designed by his great grandfather George Stanley Wilson. It is remarkably similar to Masonic initiation wells, as pointed out to me by a mentor of mine when he saw the painting. I portrayed Jason with a hammer in hand. If you know him, he’s probably fixed something for you at some point. Hardworking and hard playing, kind and abrasive; on his watch, no one goes without as he is generous no matter what he has to his own name. Loyal to a fault- whatever that means. This man will show up and speak up. Fast to fight and quick to forgive. He is the salt of the earth.

About Selena Wilson

Selena Wilson

A woman who wears many hats, yet always in the mode of creating. You can visit selenacreates.love to find out more about the things I have been up to in the world. My formal art training began when I was 9, but was short lived. Although I have studied art during college, I have only recently begun learning technique from masters again in 2019. I am very grateful to have discovered the Vienna Academy of Visionary Art where I completed one summer program in Italy at Tori. Stay tuned for more visionary art works, and studies in ala prima, watercolor, and more mediums. Inquire for commissions.
