This is my interpretation of the Hermit in Tarot. Painted in 2018, I was often pulling this card, and steeped in contemplation about it. The figure has traveled a long journey, leaving the city lights below. Ascending the winding road of life, she has arrived. The light in the darkness illuminated from within. The night blooming, all seeing flora and fauna keep company, as the snake is tamed upon her thigh. She channels from source, and radiates outwardly the codes that have been received. This is a choice point. When you arrive here, do you turn your back and retreat within, or do you shine the light back upon the path, so that others might stumble less on the path?

My formal art training began when I was 9, but was short lived. Although I have studied art during college, I have only recently begun learning technique from masters again in 2019. I am very grateful to have discovered the Vienna Academy of Visionary Art where I completed one summer program in Italy at Tori.
